Tech Editing

Do you need a tech editor? If you’re a knitwear designer, you do! No matter how many times you carefully read over the pattern you wrote, you can’t see it through someone else’s brain.

Tech editing involves spreadsheets, a lot of red ink, and a lot of caffeine.
Tech editing involves spreadsheets, a lot of red ink, and a lot of caffeine.

As a tech editor, I do all of the following:

      • writing patterns
      • grading/sizing patterns
      • checking math within/across sizes
      • ensuring logic and clarity of instructions
      • ensuring consistency in wording and headings
      • following/developing style sheets
      • drawing charts (Illustrator)
      • drawing schematics (Illustrator)

I charge $40.00 per hour. Contact me and tell me about your project to get started.
