I have a lifetime of personal knitting experience. I’ve been teaching classes locally, nationally, and virtually for a really, really long time (since 2000!). I’m also a technical editor of knitting, crochet, and weaving books, patterns, and magazines. In other words, I know a thing or two!
Do you need just a little poke to get your project up and running again? Do you need a whole lotta hand-holding from start to finish? Do you want to learn how to do a specific thing (or lots of specific things)? Are you stuck for ideas?
I promise to hold your hand, provide clear instruction, offer words of encouragement, and patiently answer every question.

- Can you figure out where was I when I put this project down umpteen years ago?
- What can I make with this yarn in my stash?
- I never know what size I should make — can you help me figure it out?
- Can you please help me find a pattern in Ravelry to make the kind of thing I want to make?
- I’ve always wanted to know how to do Fair Isle — can you teach me?
- I have an idea in my head but I don’t know how to make it work.
- My dog grabbed my knitting and ran around the house — can you help me get everything back on the needles?
- I don’t know how to pick up stitches properly — can you show me how?
- Will you teach me how to knit socks?
It’s easy to schedule a visit for a day, time, and place to meet! Fees are based on time: $30/half hour; $50/hour. Payment is due at time of service. Cash or checks are preferred, payment apps will work in a pinch.
