These colorful and extremely sturdy totes got their start as class projects for beginning entrelac students. The felting process hides any imperfections created by the learning curve (yay!), and the resulting fabric stands up superbly to years of hard use. Novice and experienced entrelac knitters alike will enjoy choosing their own personal color scheme, the hypnotic rhythm of the entrelac technique, and the magic of transforming loosely knitted stitches into a solid, dense fabric.
Base is worked back and forth in garter stitch. Body stitches are picked up from the base, then worked in the round in entrelac. Border is picked up from the body, then worked in the round in garter stitch. Handles are I-cord.
